Iran feature ‘Taraneh’ to get ready for Fajr Film Festival

Iran feature film 'Taraneh’ by Mehdi Sahebi is to get ready for the 36th Fajr Film Festival.

Iran feature film ‘Taraneh’ has been submitted to appear at the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

Directed by Mehdi Sahebi, the film's producer, Mohammad-Taqi Ansari, filled the festival’s application form in order to take part in next year's event, which will take place in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

‘Taraneh’ is about a young student who has to deal with a number of family issues. Providing her own needs, she goes to work for a modeling company, but working there takes her to the edge of darkness.

Elaheh Hesari, Andisheh Fouladvand, Amir-Reza Delavari, Maryam Masoumi, Babak Ansari, Nazanin Farahani, Mitra Shakeri, Reyhaneh Mohammadnejad, Iran Masoudi, and Nasim Moslemi are among the cast.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival is slated for February 1-11, 2018, in Tehran.
